We are thrilled to announce our first annual Live Breathe Alaska Plant-Based Retreat with our special guest and co-host, the incredible Jane Esselstyn.

Join us in beautiful downtown Anchorage, Alaska in a gorgeous home located near the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail for an immersive weekend, full of plant-based education, hands-on cooking classes, meditation, restorative yoga, wellness sessions, and a chance to nurture your mind, body, and soul. 

Jane Esselstyn is an avid inventive designer of plant-strong recipes and the co-author of  the NY Times Bestseller Be a Plant-Based Woman Warrior: Live Fierce, Stay Bold, Eat Delicious, and The Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease cookbook. 

Jane presents her work, research, and high energy food demos across the country and world. Her presentations, food demonstrations, samples and food parties bring clarity, hilarity, and a can-do attitude to the power of plant-based eating.

Jane is an avid and inventive designer of plant-based recipes and the co-author of Be a Plant-Based Woman Warrior: Live Fierce, Stay Bold, Eat Delicious, and The Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease Cookbook with her next door neighbor, mom, and human firecracker -Ann Esselstyn. Jane and Ann present their work, research, and high energy demos around the world- and on her YouTube channel.  Jane also created the recipe section of #1 NYTimes bestseller, Plant-Strong, and The Seven Day Rescue, by Rip Esselstyn. And she is co-author of  The Engine 2 Cookbook.

Winona Benson 

Winona Benson is an advocate for health and is credited as a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, a Nutrition Educator, Speaker, Author, Culinary Instructor, and Personal Chef.  Nourished Health Coaching Service was founded in 2014 by Winona Benson and the business is located in Palmer, Alaska. She has a passion for teaching people about making small health & lifestyle changes that can last a lifetime.  A specific area of focus in her business is teaching people how to add more nutrition to their plates and how to make vegetables taste delicious! As a personal chef, she focuses on creating nutrient dense, plant-based meals that provide excellent nutrition and delicious meals for her clients. Winona was born and raised in Alaska and loves to ‘live her lifestyle’ in the beautiful mountains and trails all around Alaska.  An avid hiker, biker, and skier, you will find her enjoying nature throughout all the seasons.

Retreat Pass 

  • Saturday's lunch and dinner, as well as Sunday's lunch, will be a delicious demonstration of plant-based cooking combined with hands-on participation.
    Jane will be sharing recipes from her Plant-based, NYTimes Bestselling cookbooks - she says her aim is to have a blast making food with everyone, "Let's learn a ton, fill our bellies, dance up a storm, and do it all again and again!
    (All meals are included with your "retreat pass" plus nutritious snacks, coffee & tea)
